Awaiting israel on the last leg in germany

hey everyone. Iäm sitting in an internet cafe in germany right now and some of the keys arent here, so forgive my errors. In 4 hours, I will be in the air finally on the plane directly bound for tel aviv. My 12 hour layover was great. I broke a couple of things that apparently were not very sound in the first place (just my carry on bag#s zipper and the strap on the digital watch my dad handed to me to wear, nothing really serious), but nothing some duct tape could not fix. I made it through customs and border patrol in germany fine, and a local showed me around and i found this unbelievable view of frankfurt, which is apparently the financial capital of the EU, or so the townäs residents say. The churches here are amazing too. The medieval buildings are beautiful, though I look forward to seeing buildings thousands of years old. Alright I better get in line for security. Iäm off!!! Keep thinking and praying for me. I#ve definitely felt your support.

Off to the middle east

I'm off!!! Off to parts unknown to me, and ready for adventure. With medicines to prevent the worst of turista, I'm prepared and ready to go. In 1 hour from this post I'll be getting ready to board a plane headed for Israel. Pray for me that I might have a safe and fruitful trip. I'll update this blog as I am able to. Bon Voyage!!

Gathering needed materials

I've located a Hebrew and Arabic phrasebook. I've got the Arabic one stored on my Ipod; I'm trying to learn as much as I can before I arrive. I'm gathering information on the addresses of my contacts in Israel and the West Bank. I'm bringing my backpacking backpack. It's blue which I'm happy about because green backpacks attract unwanted attention as they are the color the Israeli military uses. I'm debating as to whether I should try and grow out a beard or not to blend better. Only 3 more days now!

Preparing for Trip

I am getting ready for my flight Monday out of the country. I have picked up most of the medications I could need, and am gathering desert clothes to try and keep cool. I have connections in Atlanta, Philly, Frankfurt Germany, and then I land in Tel Aviv at 3:20am on July 1 Israeli time, which is 6 hours ahead of the Eastern time zone.
